Virtual Meeting with David Meeks, April 7, 2021

David Meeks is executive producer and editorial director for Vault Media Group. He is currently working on a coffee-table book on golf that is endorsed by the PGA Tour. He will talk to the Better Sports Club about the Masters Tournament, which will begin the morning after this event. Meeks is a former managing editor for sports at USA Today and an assistant sports editor for the Associated Press. He was sports editor at the New Orleans Times-Picayune when Hurricane Katrina hit and he led a group of reporters who stayed in the city in the weeks after the flood. The reporting done by his group won Pulitzer Prizes for public service and for breaking news.

"The Masters is the most well-run sporting event in the world," proclaimed David Meeks in his presentation to the Better Sports Club. He especially enjoys watching the event from the gallery because, "You notice the power of the game--such incredible power and grace [which is hard to see on TV].
