Our April meeting is a special one!
The Better Sports Club is very excited to welcome Les Carpenter, well-known Washington Post reporter.
Les will join us to talk about the upcoming Paris Olympics.
Les returned to The Washington Post in 2018 and currently writes about the Olympics and Olympics-related issues.
Previously, he was a sports enterprise writer at The Washington Post from 2005 to 2010, focusing on the NFL, baseball and the Olympics. He also has been a columnist and feature writer at the Seattle Times, Yahoo! Sports and the Connecticut Post.
Prior to coming back to the Post he covered American sports for the Guardian.
We hope you can make it! A reception with a cash bar will open at 6:15pm, followed by dinner at 7:00pm.
The cost of the dinner will be $30. The Knights of Columbus is located at 5115 Little Falls Road, Arlington, VA 22207.
Reservations in advance are required.
Per Knights of Columbus policy, reservations made ON or AFTER Monday, April 22 will have
a limited choice of a chicken or vegetarian meal.

BSC Mission Statement
The Better Sports Club of Arlington is a nonprofit community organization founded in 1957 “to promote useful citizenship through the medium of sports.” The Better Sports Club is dedicated to serving Arlington, Virginia's youth and to fostering the principle of fair play, good sportsmanship, a competitive spirit, tolerance and friendship. Club membership is open to women and men over the age of 18 who share the club’s goals, without regard to race, religion, ethnicity or personal orientation. |
